SUBIC BAY FREEPORT – The country’s first ever online property brokerage firm will soon be a reality. This, after they signed up with the Subic Bay Metrpolitan Authority (SBMA) recently for the setting up of their operations in the country’s premiere Freeport.
Internet Property Broker Corporation (IPBC) signed their lease agreement with SBMA Chairman Felicito Payumo, making them one of the first-of-its-kind online service groups that offers online brokerage to the avid Internet user.
"We welcome them to the Subic family and hope that their chosen endeavor will prove to be successful," Chairman Payumo stated.
He also added that the entry of IPBC boosts the SBMA’s CyberSubic vision, which sees the Freeport as one of the premiere IT hubs in Asia.
"This is certainly a welcome addition to our growing IT cluster. As IPBC starts to put up their operations, Nicera Philippines has also started on its own software development center here," he added.
IPBC will be establishing online property brokerage in the Freeport where all real estate actvities can be accessed online.
These activities would include ownership, use, improvement, development, subdividing, selling, exchange, lease and hold for investment or otherwise, real estate of all kinds, including buildigs, apartments and other structures. Real estate properties will be advertised and sold through the Internet.
IPBC president and CEO Alfredo Ongyanco said Subic has an ideal setting and strong investor support relations.
"We chose Subic because of its ideal location and setting conducive to the business we are in. This and the strong relations between the investor and the SBMA made us decide to set up shop down here," Ongyanco stated.
Ongyanco also stressed that they see Subic as the perfect I Farm which has the conveniences of urban living but without the usual hassles that come along with them.
He also added that for their Subic operations, they will be training new people in the tecnology and software that they will be using.
"We will use hi-breed software for faster implementation of solutions. At the same time, we will be training new people in this new software and technology," Ongyanco said.
Hi-breed software is a set of tools that are packaged in one application that allows the putting up of e-stores complete with all of the tools necessary for administrative, office management, as well as interfacing with E-store management.
Ongyanco also said that aside from being an online brokerage firm, they are also in the process of being one of the first online firms to do direct export business catering to online Chinese companies.
He strongly noted that the Philippines is one of the best countries in position to do direct dealings with China via the web because we are equipped with the technology, the people and the perfect location.
The group is expected to start operations at the start of the third quarter of this year.
