December 28, 2000 | 12:00am
RxPinoy.com will soon install free-access computer terminals in the lobbies of major hospitals and medical centers around Metro Manila.
Dubbed RxPinoy HIT (Hospital Information Terminal), these terminals will serve as electronic guides for those who want to access information about a particular hospital.
Some of the features of HIT include a Quick Search Directory of in-house doctors and dentists, a Patient Finder to help visitors conveniently locate the person they want to visit, helpful directions to nearby ATMs, eateries and drugstores, and frequently asked questions on hospital rules and procedures.
Through an on-screen brochure, HIT will also showcase each hospital’s credentials and capabilities, thus boosting the hospital’s image as an institution responsive to its customers’ needs.
Several future enhancements are also planned for HIT, including bulletin boards, suggestion boxes, support group finders, sign-up forms, and other interactive features that apply today’s technology to create practical solutions for the health industry.
Some of the hospitals that have signed up for RxPinoy HIT include St. Luke’s Medical Center, Makati Medical Center, The Medical City, UERMMMC and the UST Hospital.
RxPinoy.com is the Philippines’ first online health directory and is managed by Infomediary Phils. Inc.
