It’s not clear if this direct interest is in addition to the common shares already indirectly owned by SGP, thus slightly increasing SGP’s position relative to China, or if this direct interest merely replaces part of SGP’s indirect ownership.
ABS-CBN [ABS 13.20 2.96%] [link] signed a licensing agreement to allow GMA [GMA7 16.08 1.77%] to air some of ABS’s most popular movies. Many were shocked, but investors should probably be thankful to see ABS exploring options to monetize its incredible catalog of IP.
