‘Red days’ expose women to infection

Whether you’re a woman scaling the career ladder, a wife and mom filled with the concerns of family life, or a student hard at work on your studies, the last thing you would want to be bothered with is the itchiness and irritation caused by your menstrual period.

Itchiness and irritation cause not just physical discomforts but emotional ones as well.

More than that, however, itchiness and irritation may actually be symptoms of severe infection. Bacterial growth, after all, is very high during a woman’s “red days” because menstrual discharge is highly susceptible to contaminants such as bacteria and viruses.

Due to this, women run the risk of contracting common infections such as bacterial vaginosis, which results from an overgrowth of normal bacteria.

They may also develop yeast infection, which is caused by the fungus known as Candida. Yeast vaginitis can cause a number of discomforts such as itching, burning, soreness and pain during urination and discharge.

Women should not worry, though, because Betadine Feminine Wash can help them avoid the risks of infection. It contains Swiss-formulated Povidone Iodine, one of the most effective antiseptics in the market today.

Medical research shows that Betadine Feminine Wash’s excellent anti-microbial formulation eliminates 99.9 percent of bacterial microorganisms that can cause infection and irritation. It kills eight out of eight bacterial microorganisms as compared to other products, which can only kill six out of eight.

Povidone Iodine is an antiseptic used and highly recommended by medical professionals worldwide.
