Palace: Marcos Jr. focused on work
MANILA, Philippines — President Marcos remains focused on performing his mandate regardless of survey results, Malacañang said yesterday after a poll indicated an improvement in his satisfaction rating.
“Every time you ask me about surveys, I will just repeat this. Whether it goes up or down, the President is not affected by numbers. The focus of the President is on his work. Whatever needs to be done for our countrymen, the President and this administration will do,” Palace press officer Claire Castro said.
“Next month, next week, there will be another survey and I will just repeat my answer... The work continues, not the vacation,” Castro added.
A Social Weather Stations poll conducted from June 20 to 29 showed that satisfaction with Marcos rose to 38 percent from a record low 33 percent in March.
