New retail center set to open in Brentville

The Village Front, Filinvest’s newest neighborhood commercial strip rising in Biñan, Laguna, will feature dining outlets, convenience stores, and services.

MANILA, Philippines - Brentville International Community, the flagship residential project of Filinvest Land Inc. (FLI) in Mamplasan, Biñan, Laguna, is adding The Village Front neighborhood retail center into its fold.

Set to open in the third quarter this year, The Village Front is a retail destination located near the up-and-rising residential and commercial areas of Biñan and Sta. Rosa. The new neighborhood retail center will provide accessibility and convenience to Brentville residents, as well as nearby residential owners, to their favorite dining outlets, convenience stores, and services.

This is the first commercial center under FLI’s “neighborhood strip” concept, which directly targets the Brentville community.

“A neighborhood strip is developed catering to a certain niche market. The Village Front, for instance, is tailor-made for the Brentville community, so the shops we will put there cater to their lifestyle,” said Joy Polloso, FLI senior vice president for retail and commercial centers. “This is unlike our larger commercial centers that have something for all markets.”

With a gross land area of 2,475 square meters, The Village Front will house a 600-sqm supermarket, amid five one-story retail cluster buildings set in a lush, landscaped setting and offering dining outlets, wellness shops, and specialty stores.

Lifting from European design styles, The Village Front will be constructed with a fusion of Italian, Spanish, and French design with terracotta-colored roof tiles, courtyards with flagstone walkways, and fountains. To highlight the Mediterranean tradition of family, there will be open air seating and plenty of shades for al fresco dining.

“By September, we hope to present the Brentville community with a commercial center to call their own. This project will greatly impact the lifestyle in the community,” said Francis Ceballos, senior vice president and cluster head for regional Luzon projects of FLI.

Phase 2 of the project is expected to begin construction in the first quarter of 2015.
