Hospital groundbreaking in Nuvali

MANILA, Philippines - University Physicians Medical Center (UPMC), a specialty orthopedic medical center, broke ground recently in Ayala Land Inc.’s sprawling Nuvali eco-community in Laguna. UPMC is a private multi-specialty outpatient diagnostic and surgical center designed as a one-stop health facility providing world-class healthcare available to all right at the heart of Nuvali. “UPMC-Nuvali is another medical facility configured into a specialty orthopedic hospital that aims to answer the need for orthopedic services south of Manila,” said UPMC president Dr. Edwin Mercado. “UPMC-Nuvali follows the same procedural mandate that UPMC is known for, the same-day surgery set-up which means that we can send patients home in 24 hours.” In photo during the laying of the time capsule are (from left) Joel N.
