MANILA, Philippines - Property Company of Friends Inc. (Pro-Friends) gears up for its 15th year in the real estate business next year by recognizing the milestones and the projects it has delivered since the company’s inception in 1999.
Since its first development in Villa de Primarosa in Imus, Cavite, Pro-Friends has built communities for over 26,000 families in the country and established its market niche in the affordable housing segment.
In its latest fiscal year that ended June 30, the company reported total revenue of P7.7 million while its net income was at P2.4 million, a 43 percent and 27 percent year-on-year increase, respectively.
“The first half of 2013 saw us making changes in the organization, implementing new technologies and increasing our land bank. We made scaling preparations in order to meet the growing demand of our clients,†company president Jocelyn Guzman said.
The developer’s largest project to date is Lancaster Estates (presently known as Lancaster New City), a flagship project introduced in 2007. The over 1000-hectare development caters to young professionals as well as growing families and features tastefully designed, two-story houses with three or four bedrooms and two toilet and baths. Its townhouses also cater to their clients’ discriminating lifestyle preferences.
This year, Lancaster New City has expanded to include Leighton Hall, a modern three-story clubhouse that can accommodate up to 400 guests for birthday celebrations and other special events; St. Edward Integrated School, which provides high quality education at an affordable price and works under the Lasallian School Supervision Office or LASSO; and Lancaster Square, Pro-Friends’ first-ever commercial complex inside Lancaster New City. In addition, the Church of the Holy Family, located beside Leighton Hall, is the venue for masses held regularly for the residents.
In addition, Pro-Friends marks important progress in three of their ongoing projects: Ilustrata Residences’ groundbreaking, Parc Regency Greens’ soft launch and The Palms Lakeshore’s start of construction.
Pro-Friends first focused its efforts on building affordable housing on small pocket developments. It eventually progressed to addressing the needs of higher market segments by focusing on estate developments. In the next 10 years, the company aims to bring 100,000 more houses to the market with its ongoing projects.
