Filinvest City stamps its mark down south
MANILA, Philippines - Filinvest City, a vast 244-hectare masterplanned estate in Alabang, Muntinlupa, continues to add more developments – barely a year since its re-launch – to spice up its mix of business and leisure establishments.
From its reintroduction in the last quarter of 2012, various types of developments have sprouted in every area of this vibrant business district. Crimson Hotel Manila, a FilArchipelago-managed hotel with 325 guest rooms, 20 suites, and one executive lounge, opened in the first quarter of the year. Another recent launch is the Filinvest Tent, where big Valentine concerts and bazaars have been hosted. This newest event venue in the south boasts of its spacious interior that could house close to 3,000 people on a concert or theater set up.
In addition, three BPO office buildings are currently under construction, all located in Northgate Cyberzone, a PEZA-accredited premier BPO-IT park.
Various residential developments are also in various stages of construction. The 27-story first tower of The Levels has topped off. The California-themed development will have four towers. The five-tower Studio City, which is set to cater to young professionals especially those working in Northgate Cyberzone, on the other hand, topped off its tower last January while the second was launched in June.
Other projects that are set to add vibrancy to the Filinvest City skyline are Far Eastern University, which is, to date, undergoing masterplanning for a multi-building, low-complex with central open area development, and Somerset Alabang Manila, whose serviced apartments could be beneficial to executives of Filinvest City-based multinational offices like Ford Group Philippines Inc., HSBC, Fluor Daniel, Convergys and Genpact.
For Festival Supermall, outdoor promenades and more greens are being added to the shopping mall courtesy of its additional expanse of 100,000 square meters. Apart from more shops and dining establishments, various exciting mall features that include the River Park are set to launch in the last quarter of the year. At the Spectrum Center, a new commercial center along Spectrum Midway Avenue, are ongoing constructions of new branches of McDonald’s, Jollibee and EastWest Bank.
“We welcome every project that could contribute to the colorful mix of developments in Filinvest City,†said Kate Ilagan, executive vice president of Filinvest Alabang Inc.
“Since the last quarter of 2012, Filinvest City has aggressively pursued and inspired possibilities. We are eager to see a lot of things in our pipeline rolled out in the remaining half of the year. Definitely, there is no slowing down for Filinvest City.â€
