Laguna business park offers tax incentives to locators

- The Philippine Star

Manila, Philippines -  One Asia Business Center, the first state-of-the-art commercial and business hub just south of Metro Manila, offers tax incentives to locators.

The business park developed by the Earth + Style Group in Jubilation New Biñan, Laguna entitles locators to four- to six-year income tax holiday, after which they have the option to pay a special 5 percent tax on gross income earned after the lapse of the income tax holiday.

Victor H. Manarang, president and chief executive officer of Earth + Style, said locators will also be exempted from payment of import duties and taxes on imported machinery and equipment and raw materials.

“They will also enjoy additional deduction equivalent to 50 percent of training expenses,” Manarang said.

The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) declared One Asia Business Center as an information technology park pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 1773.

One Asia Business Center, which will be equipped with superior infrastructure, offers office lot sizes of 600 square meters priced at around P8.9 million and retail lots of 200 to 300 sqm for P3 million to P6 million.

“The business park has wide roads, ample parking spaces, walkways for pedestrians, easy access to multimodal transport, an effective drainage system, ready electric utilities, an underground water distribution system, street lighting, and other facilities and amenities that will provide a park-like setting at the heart of the business center,” said Manarang.

Among the prospective lot buyers and locators in One Asia Business Center are medical offices and sales offices, retail outlets, government offices, schools, car showrooms, banks, insurance firms, law firms, gasoline stations, coffee shops, trading companies, and developers of build-to-suit offices for BPO firms.

Locators in the project will have easy access to a market of 879,621 residents in the industrial towns of Binan, San Pedro, Sta. Rosa and Carmona. These towns have a workforce of 88,500, including 84,500 workers in economic zones and a student population of 34,420 for secondary and tertiary schools.
