SOC Land poised to take advantage of industry prospects

-

MANILA, Philippines - The participation of SOC Land, the property arm of listed firm South China Resources, Inc., at the 5th Philippine Realty Estate Festival (PREF) exhibit and forum at the World Trade Center not only boosted its market presence but also apprised the developer of the encouraging prospects in the industry.

Keynoted by Vice President and housing czar Jejomar C. Binay, the three-day trade show with the theme “Real Estate Development, Property Tourism and Media: A Tripartite Collaboration for National Progress,” was packed with distinguished leaders and key experts in the real estate, property tourism and media community.

SOC Land president John Paul Reyes particularly expressed optimism over a report presented during the show’s forum leg by leading real estate service firm Jones Lang LaSalle. It confirmed the continued good prospects especially in its resort-themed development Anuva’s Alabang location, where a steady growth in capital values is expected to continue.

The report also cited several factors, which augur well for the industry at large. These include the steady increase in the country’s population, OFW remittances’ estimated all-time high level this year of about P19 billion, the BPO’s continued strong growth which, in turn, generates a lot of employment, the increasing public-private partnerships (PPPs), the Balikbayans’ real estate property purchases either for investment or for retirement homes, as well as upgrading of lifestyle and, subsequently, homes by middle income families.

“We are confident that be it OFWs, BPO employees, balikbayans, or middle income families, Anuva’s affordable quality condo homes situated along the East Service Road of SLEX can whet their appetite for a dream home,” said Reyes.

Anuva’s mid-rise development boasts of higher-than-industry’s 80 percent open space, tandem-style buildings whose orientation has been planned to reduce the units’ direct exposure to the sun, and whose low density layout and unique squarish configuration of units will surely ensure value-for-money homes for Filipinos.

A resort-style lazy river tops the list of its numerous amenities. Other first-rate amenities include a 50-meter lap pool, lagoon and lake, plus themed parks and gardens, clubhouse and function rooms. The development also adopts a new “perimeter road” concept, which allows residents, especially the children, to safely go to common areas where the amenities are located without having to cross roads.

“To be competitive with the other MRB developments in the booming East Service Road corridor in Cupang-Buli-Sucat area, Anuva’s site has been carefully master planned by some of the most seasoned architects and engineers in the country,” said Reyes. Anuva’s list of consultants includes PGAA Creative Design, OCB and Associates in collaboration with AF Trillanes, and Master Planner N.S Mangio. “We are here to take advantage of the opportunity to provide Filipinos with the home they deserve – one that truly enriches their lifestyle,” said Reyes.
