Historic groundbreaking in Baguio

MANILA, Philippines - The groundbreaking for a residential condominium project last December 4, 2010 marked a new era for two historic institutions in Baguio. The Residences at Brent, a residential condominium development in Baguio City, has begun full-scale construction on its first phase.

The project developer is Willowtree Development Corporation, a joint venture between The Episcopal Church in The Philippines and Brent International School Baguio. Potential buyers participating in this exclusive community will become a part of the long history of these worthy institutions as the project serves to strengthen and preserve the historic area. Present during the groundbreaking were: Baguio City Mayor Mauricio Domogan, Chairman of the Brent board Robert F. Kuan, Prime Bishop The Most Rev. Edward P. Malecdan, Vice Chairman Bishop Joel A. Pachao, and Headmaster of Brent School Dick B. Robbins.

The Residences at Brent is located on Brent Road, walking distance from Pink Sisters’ Convent, SM Baguio, and many famous Baguio destinations. The first phase of the project will include four separate buildings. Each building is low rise and low density there being only four stories and a total of sixteen units per building. The units are two and three bedrooms with three and four bathrooms. The developer decided to go against the trend of offering smaller units for greater profits and instead offer these spacious units ranging in size from 110 sq. meters to 156 sq. meters. In addition, there are walking/jogging trails, parks, and scheduled use of the school gymnasium, chapel, and soccer field.

The Residences at Brent is scheduled for completion in June 2012.
