'Partners' in pest control business

MANILA, Philippines - For over 40 years, the husband and wife team of Rudy and Nenita Angeles have always been actively involved in the pest control business, from running their own company to joining other organizations in seeking ways to improve the industry.

Presently, Rudy is the president of the Pest Management Council of the Philippines (PMCP) which, incidentally, will be holding its national convention and scientific conference in Bacolod City from May 2-6, 2011. The PMCP, Inc. is composed of three scientific societies; Philippine Association of Entomologists (PAE), Philippine Phytopathological Society (PPS) and Weed Science Society of the Philippines (WSSP) and three associations; Croplife, Crop Protection Association of the Philippines (CPAP) and Pest Control Association of the Philippines (PCAP). The three societies are engaged in research, training and extension in Pest Management. Croplife and CPAP are engaged in discovery, development, importation, formulation and distribution of crop protection chemicals while PCAP is engaged in Urban Pest Management. Both Rudy and Nenita also served as past presidents of PCAP, proving their reputation as established figures in the industry.

Prior to earning such status over a span of four decades, the couple went through the rigors of the industry, but in the process collected experiences that bolstered their expertise in the business.
