South Forbes' growing family of chateaus

-

MANILA, Philippines - There’s a lot of thing brewing in Châteaux de Paris, the French-inspired enclave of South Forbes Golf City, the country’s largest fully-integrated and all-themed golf resort city at the forefront of the Metro Sta. Rosa – Tagaytay corridor, recipient of the Best Golf Community Development by the 2007 CNBC International Property Awards, the world’s most prestigious property awards programme, and, recently, the Highly Commended Award for Best Development by the 2010 Bloomberg Asia-Pacific Residential Award.

“We are introducing three more model homes to our chateau collection to give our buyers more options to suit their personal lifestyles,” said Cathay Land president Jeffrey Ng. “We at South Forbes believe that there is a home meant for everyone.”

Lovely Lafayette. Couples who are eager to own their own house and start a family will find the Lafayette suited to their liking. It features the usual spaces that make a home: living and dining areas, a kitchen, and the bedroom for the help all occupy the ground level. Three bedrooms on the second floor are for the couple and their two kids.

Charming Clermont. From the exterior, the Clermont looks like the younger and smaller version of the original chateaus in the enclave. While being smaller in terms of floor area, there is nothing small about the comfort and ambience of the home for its royal residents. In fact, this home is ideal for green thumbs who want larger gardens to cultivate, which emphasizes the theme of the enclave.

Elegant Louvre. Upon entering, one is immediately awed by the double-volume space of the living area. This airy and well-lit area lends a feeling of relaxation even as one ascends the flight of stairs. The master of the house will especially love their private balcony accessible only through their bedroom, perfect to view a glorious sunset or enjoy the cool breeze with a cup of coffee.

The First Set. Châteaux de Paris’ original trio presented a taste of three French design styles in three different homes: the classical Chambord, the contemporary Chantilly, and the moderne Fontainebleau -- each with its unique layout to match the varying preferences of different people.

The Chambord reminisces on old world charm that is characteristic of many of our parents’ and grandparents’ homes but updated to meet the modern lifestyle. The Chantilly, much closer to the palates of many, features four bedrooms on the second floor intended for a family with a lot of kids. On the other end of the design spectrum is the Fontainebleau unit, reflective of a more sophisticated and urbane lifestyle.

The Main Chateau. At the end of the enclave’s well-lit tree-lined main avenue reminiscent of Champs Elysée in the French capital lies the stately Grand Clubhouse. An intricate French garden is laid out like a red carpet in front. Along with the colorful field of flowers, hedges, and topiary, a series of reflecting pools surround the clubhouse entirely like a castle moat.
