Christmas comes home to CrossWinds
MANILA, Philippines - As the year inches towards December, there comes a perceptible change in the air. The blowing wind is cooler and the breeze is sweeter. Indeed, Christmas is just around the corner.
Christmas, however, has found a new home. Two hours south of Manila, in the midst of Tagaytay’s lush green terrain is Brittany’s CrossWinds – inarguably the true home of Christmas. Inspired by the architecture of Switzerland, with the property overflowing with pine trees that infuse the air with the sweetest of scents, and a sense of vibrancy that brings to life the season’s many colors, every nook and corner evokes the festivity that only the holidays can bring.
At Deux Pointe, an enclave situated at the highest point of CrossWinds, a holiday tradition was recently upheld to usher in the beginning of the season. Residents and guests were invited to move from home to home and partake of the various surprises that have been prepared to officially welcome Christmas.
Quezo de Bola, chestnuts, ham and bread were shared to indulge in traditional Christmas feast foods. In another unit, a large Christmas tree was decorated and everyone was invited to hang pieces of paper bearing their wishes and dreams for the future. Revelers were also treated to a mini-concert featuring a chorale singing popular Christmas carols. Finally, no less than Santa Claus himself came to take his place at Gran Duetto, making CrossWinds officially the new home of Christmas.
CrossWinds also opened the doors of the Christmas Store. The charming shop in green and red mirrors the architecture of the property and is decked with the most colorful ornaments. Inside this one-room store are various knick-knacks that are guaranteed to make the season more festive. It also offers a variety of unique gift ideas such as gem-decked utensils from P300 to P550, seashell candle holders for P250, Merry Crystal (a small Christmas tree made of crystals) for P2500, and rose-shaped candles in votives for P250 to name a few.
