Course on realty laws, taxation set
MANILA, Philippines - The Chamber of Real Estate and Builders Associations Inc. and the De La Salle College of Saint Benilde will offer the course entitled “Real Estate Laws and Regulations” to be held from Oct. 24 to Dec. 12 at the CSB School of Design and Arts Campus on Pablo Ocampo, Malate, Manila. The course is the second of six modules under the full-year Diploma Program in Real Estate Management.
University of the Philippines Prof. Roque A. Magno, former Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board (HLURB) commissioner for planning, said the course is open to present and would-be practitioners in the business and service of real estate, government personnel, and even landowners and property investors. The program, being conducted for more than seven years, has produced at least 150 diploma holders and some 1,500 module participants from all over the country.
Atty. Amado B. Deloria, former HULRB commissioner for adjudication, is course director. Topics include: overview of land doctrines and policies; titles, patents and deeds; Philippine land development laws; land registration and documentation; permits and licenses under the Local Government Code of 1991; land classification, reclassification and conversion; HLURB clearances, licenses, monitoring and adjudication procedures; homeowners associations and condominium corporation disputes resolution; Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Law (CARL) of 2009; real estate forms and contracts; and taxation for real estate transactions.
