Worldbex 2009 exhibits sustainable development
MANILA, Philippines - For the building and construction industry, green has become much more than just a color – it has become a mission.
Given this, it’s not surprising how the Philippine World Building and Construction Exposition (WORLDBEX) , the biggest and most attended of its kind in Asia, reflects this. Just recently, Joseph Ang, Founding Chairman of Worldbex Services International (WSI), held an Exhibitor’s Orientation together with the participants of WORLDBEX 2009. Here, he introduced the WORLDBEX 2009 theme ‘’Leading the Way to Sustainable Development’’ – a move which marked the organization’s aim to be at the forefront of local initiatives towards sustainable development.
Long considered as Asia’s indispensible source of information and technology in the world of construction, WORLDBEX 2009 aims to introduce the latest trade advancements in the field of sustainable building.
Ang asserted that with the help of the industry’s most influential movers and shakers, they can strengthen the imperative to go green. ‘’Together, we can come up with resolutions and solutions to build in the most sustainable way possible.’’
The said orientation was held more than a month before the actual show which will be held from March 18-22 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila (WTCMM), to give exhibitors ample time to be onboarded in the organizer’s plans for WORLDBEX 2009.Among those who attended the orientation included Ramon Aquino, president, Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers; David Chang senior sales manager, Hocheng Philippines Corp.; Melvin Porta marketing services and corporate communications officer, Hunter Douglas Philippines; Pia Lamoste, marketing head, Puyat Steel Corp.; engr. Arthur N. Escalante, National president ,IIEE and representatives from Carlson Trading.
