Creating your luck
Loi Krathong, a spectacle of exquisite beauty, is Thailand’s “festival of lights” celebrated this month. On this particular night, on nearly every expanse of water, be it a river, lake or the ocean, one will notice thousands of lights floating on water, gently flickering, dipping and dancing in the breeze as they, making a spectacular sight. The Thai generally believe that by releasing floats and balloons, they get rid of bad luck and give thanks to the water and heavenly elements.
At the heart of the Metro Sta. Rosa – Tagaytay corridor, South Forbes Golf City, the country’s largest fully-integrated and all-themed golf resort city acclaimed Best Golf Community Development by the 2007 CNBC International Property Awards, the world’s most prestigious property awards programme, takes inspiration from the magnificence of Thai culture to create Phuket Mansions and Phuket Estates.
“Water is paramount in everything that is Thai culture, from history, economy, culture, and values,” said Cathay Land president Jeffrey Ng. “It is through this appreciation that adds a new dimension to our two Phuket enclaves.”
Convergence. The setting of Phuket Mansions and Estates is unique from other developments in that it has a two rivers meeting at one end, one of which is shared between the two enclaves. To the Thai, any place with bodies of water is most auspicious, much like their Chao Phraya or Mekong.
Thai Pads. The tropical resort experience that has made Phuket a travel destination owes its renown to the island’s natural beauty — lush, tropical foliage and the clear, blue sea caressing the white, powdery beach. In the Phuket enclaves, this is elevated to a lifestyle. From a sprawling bungalow to a two-storey residence, there are three elegant choices of homes for every family, yet all alike in providing a safe, comfortable place to retreat, refresh and restore.
The traditional Taksin unit welcomes new or young families whose desire is to build a home in a relaxed environment. The contemporary Chakri mansion is the biggest house to accommodate the needs of a more matured family, especially those with teenagers. The Ayutthaya bungalow becomes the perfect place, especially for retirees, to spend lazy afternoons and serene nights with a pavilion-type layout surrounded by reflecting pools and lush flora.
And in all three mansions, water becomes an integral element in the form of swimming pools, reflecting ponds, and even a jacuzzi.
