Ito Kish’s 20 years of world-class visual artistry created yet another timeless masterpiece in Antel Spa Residences (ASR),
Together with his associates in Gallano Designs, Ito Kish meticulously replicated ASR’s condo units in The Antel Venue Lounge showroom that featured two cleverly designed rooms: For the one-bedroom unit called “Beyond Nature,” the design borrowed various elements like abaca, wood, bamboo, paper, and grass paired with modern materials such as acrylic and glass. As a result, an astonishing mix of textures and patterns that stretched the room’s capacity, creating a relaxed, yet hip unit space.
And to add that rural warmth, stylish furnishings and fixtures are neatly placed each manifesting a home-grown finishing touch that imitates nature: with a careful selection of muted and pleasing earth colors for the entire room, guests are cheerfully welcomed by sleek Panton chairs and a cantilevered mirror table in the dining area.
The bedroom, dressed in monochromatic wallpaper with embossed design, is also a much-celebrated feature, as from its main wall down to the littlest details such as crisp bed sheets and pillows, nature played an endearing connection between the dweller and the abode.
Frosted acrylic dividers delightfully parts the sitting and dining areas from the bedroom. The undulating curve patterns for the door reminds of the sea waves while the two sides that flank the frosted glass division are ingeniously designed to provide substantial storage space. The basic bathroom fixtures are enhanced by tiles which draw the eyes upward to reveal a wallpapered ceiling that features flowers, fruits, and leaves in an earthly shade of brown.
The two-bedroom unit titled “The New Province,” on the other hand, uniquely employed huge photomurals as lighting pieces and design elements to evoke a refreshing hometown atmosphere in the midst of the bustling city. Huge snapshots of grass, water drops, and pebbles define the ceilings in the living room and bathrooms.
The ingenious application of rustic elements such as capiz pieces and resin sliding door, wooden light fixtures, and the linen used for the windows all come together to complete the nostalgic picture.

In the master bedroom, textured pillow covers enhance the neutral shades of the bed and beddings, while the linen wall fabrics form a luxurious cocoon all around, in shades of cashew and pistachio that complements the bone china ceiling. To add illusion of space, a Venetian mirror is placed alongside the window curtains’ patterned weave.
The second bedroom features a single bed with an upholstered headboard and textured wallpaper. The round abaca area rug softens the straight lines of the room. A framed mirror, featuring white shells embedded on the frame, provides a tactile element to the room.
“Designs not only create an illusion of space but also visually striking impressions carved out of an artist’s playful imagination.
