Soneras Village Green breaks ground

Ayala Land Premier (ALP) recently held groundbreaking rites for the Village Green the "heart" of Ayala Southvale Village Soneras community that will serve as an idyllic venue where homeowners can gather for various bonding activities.
Sonera is designed to become a "fenceless community" a village that fosters warmth and neighborly living. At the Village Green, homeowners will find a shared space where they can freely get together for recreation and leisure.
The groundbreaking ceremony was preceded by a Holy Mass led by Msgr. Nico Bautista from the Alfonsus Ligouri Parish, followed by the blessing of the symbolic documents and items. These items were placed in the time capsule by corresponding officials who graced the event: the projects land titles by Jong Romero, project manager for Sonera; the development permit by Mel Cruz (senior division manager for ALP Construction Management Group); the architectural plan by Joel Luna (assistant vice president for technical planning division); the landscape play by Cristy Comia (senior division manager, ALP construction management group, landscaping unit); the Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) by Jay Caniza (department manager, technical planning division, project architect for Sonera), and the days newspaper by Dindo Guererro (managing partner of Abesamis Guererro Architects, Soneras project consultant).
"This is just a preview of the idyllic life that Sonera will soon be home to," said Jay Caniza (department manager for Technical Planning Division). "The fence-free homes will encourage interaction among homeowners. Kids can roam around freely without their parents worrying because they practically know everyone inside the village. ALPs state-of-the-art security system will also ensure the safety of every resident inside the village."
As the central venue of the communitys activities, the Village Green will reflect the design architecture of the homes inside Sonera and will therefore have a contemporary look and feel, said Joel Luna, AVP for Technical Planning Division.
"We wanted something fresh-looking, which we dont typically see in other suburban areas. The architecture was made to have cleaner lines, more upbeat and modern, but still familiar. We particularly chose an architecture that appeals to younger tastes, more cosmopolitan, and fits in with the stature and prestige of Alabang to which Sonera is intrinsically linked," Luna explained.
The Village Green complex which occupies almost a hectare will be divided into two structures: the multi-purpose pavilion or the clubhouse and the indoor courts, with a swimming pool found at the center linking the two facilities. A Kidss Park will entice children to play all day at the Play Pool, Gazebo and interactive playground, while fitness enthusiasts can tread the Adventure Path for biking, walking, or simply enjoying the landscaped gardens and scenic views.
