Glass House

One Rockwell, Rockwell Land Corp’s signature project is set to break ground at the gateway of its 15-hectare development in Makati City in 2007. Its unique two-tower high-contrast geometric design concept is by world-renowned Miami-based architectural and design firm, Arquitectonica.

The project’s distinctiveness goes beyond these iconic structures and ventures into the novelty of the first-of-its-kind Z-shaped units.

The units span the width of the building. The floor layout resembles a "Z", with a double-height floor-to-ceiling glass panel on one end. Z-shaped units, with its unique design, afford future residents different vistas from one end to another.

That means, residents witness the city bustle at daybreak from the master’s bedroom at the east end of the Z-shaped units and enjoy a breathtaking sunset over the bay from the living room at the west end.

With the recent unveiling of The Glass House, a custom-built 125 square meter two-bedroom Z-Loft model unit, One Rockwell gives you a taste of ultimate urban living.

California-based Filipino designer Guillermo J. Valdez spearheaded the team who brought The Glass House to life.

His interpretation makes use of minimalist design, using white on white and reflective light luminous colors that create a feeling of space and facilitate free-flow movement. Earth tone complements in shades of mauve, brown and blue exude a homey feel that invites rest and relaxation.

Distinctive Philippine-made and sourced furniture and fixtures are married with contemporary designs made out of glass and metal. Exceptional accent pieces range from a real coral table centerpiece to dyed sheep’s wool throw pillows to a wall decked with 60s-inspired photographs to indigenous tent pegs lining the hall way.

The Glass House is simple, elegant and modern, with clean lines and architectural details, simple design styles and just the right accents. It is a house full of surprises and endless possibilities!
