Murasaki opens at THE WHARF
January 6, 2006 | 12:00am
The Wharf, a centerpiece of urban entertainment and convenience at the heart of Brittany Bay, recently introduced Murasaki, the newest addition to its array of restaurants. "A cozy Japanese restaurant just around the corner" is how Tito Delos Angeles describes Murasaki. Tito conceptualized this project over a year ago, actually from ground zero.
This little Japanese restaurant was not freed of its birth pains, and when it finally came to be, there had to be a soft opening in order to polish operations up, considering Tito and his partners, Malouchi Gahol, Jun Gaffud, Mark Madrid, and Levi Baligod had no experience whatsoever in the restaurant business, except that they all love good food.
When Murasakis menu was being prepared, each item, before it can be offered to the public, had to pass many criticisms and tests, including non-usage of MSG.
Tito and Jun both agree that quality should never be sacrificed when it comes to good food, that is why Murasaki buys only the best and the fresh. But Murasaki is not only about good food, it is also about a restaurant with a heart. The owners want its clientele to enjoy quality Japanese cuisine at a price affordable to all.
Murasaki also wants their guests to take the time to enjoy good food since time is also given in the preparation of each dish that leaves the kitchen.
In todays hustle and bustle, Murasaki understands that guests want their orders out fast, but this little nook prides itself that each dish is cooked only when ordered and for this reason, a minimum of 20 to 25 minutes is what it takes for the finished product to reach the tables.
Murasaki is open Sunday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 12 midnight.
Mondays are for the staff to rest, to relax and to enjoy after six days of good work why? Because Murasaki is all heart.
We invite you to share with us a Murasaki experience at Brittany Bays The Wharf, amidst scenic Laguna de Bay, and the beautiful La Posada development. See you!
