Brittany creates precious memories at CrossWinds

Childhood memories are what we keep and treasure in our hearts long after we have grown-up and had children of our own. Be it with the whole family setting up a fleet of kites for flight on a sunny afternoon or being able to spend a couple of minutes to bond with Dad while tending the barbecue for lunch, we remember these precious moments, replay them over and over in our minds, and hope one day to make similar if not better ones with our own kids.
Tagaytay is one such place where beautiful memories cannot help but be created. Set against the breath-taking majesty of Taal Volcano, the city is a favorite haunt of Filipinos and foreigners alike. Its proximity to the countrys capital just an hour and a half away from Manila make it an ideal weekend getaway from the glaring neon lights of the city.
Nestled on the lush landscape of Tagaytay is a property created especially for memories to be made. CrossWinds, named after the merging of wind current blowing from different directions, is a Swiss-inspired weekend retreat especially conceptualized by maverick developer Brittany Corp.
"Everyone has Tagaytay memories. Its almost impossible not to have one! Its practically a rite of passage for families to spend a weekend there or for college friends to go for a drive and spend the evening star-gazing. And if you think about it, the better question is which of your Tagaytay memories you treasure the most," enthused Jing Serrano, president of Brittany Corp.
"Tagaytay being the site of CrossWinds is far from accidental. The city has always had and will always have so much to offer. And we want our residents to be able to take full advantage of it. Being at the heart of Tagaytay, CrossWinds homeowners will literally be at the center of a wide range of activities from trekking for those who indulge in sports to food-tripping for those in search of new flavors," she added.
Located on the left side of the highway just beyond Picnic Grove and the road from the South Luzon Expressway exit via Sta. Rosa, CrossWinds by itself makes for a spectacular cradle of reminiscences.
Its Swiss-inspired architecture is a perfect backdrop for many photographs to be cherished and kept. Details such as overhanging eaves, wood patterns, and wide balconies all set against a lush green landscape provide a haven with almost a fairytale-like quality to it.
Other design details were employed to ensure an inviting and comfortable atmosphere including a steeply-pitched, gable roof with varying roof lines. The dark-stained wood trims provide contrast to the stucco walls in varying colors to brighten the rooms. French windows with planter boxes ensure that the house is flooded with sunshine and fresh air. The ceramic tiles and natural stone on the porch and balcony with stained wood finish and hand-carved patterns on the railing complete the look.
