EASTWOOD CITY: TAKING LEISURE TO A NEW LEVEL

Eastwood City Walk 1 and 2, Eastwood City’s popular leisure spots, offer habitués more places to dine, shop and play. Today, with 71 establishments ranging from cafés and restaurants to specialty stores and entertainment outlets, City Walk 1 and 2 are among the brightest spots in Metro Manila’s lifestyle and leisure scene.

In 2001, City Walk 1 started out with a clutch of dining places such as McDonald’s, Tokyo Tokyo, Twist, Fazoli’s, Macau and Blue Onion. This 2005, City Walk 1 boasts a total of 29 restaurants, the newest being dessert nook Cheesecake, etc., afterhours bar and restaurant Gweilos, crepes-pasta-grilled dish specialist Melange, family restaurant OJ’s, pasta place Pasto, pizza joint Yellow Cab, rotisserie chicken place Kenny Rogers, doughnut shop Go Nuts Donuts and grilled dish restaurant Dencio’s. Opening soon are Teriyaki Boy, Cravings, Banana Leaf and Heaven on Eggs.

Meanwhile, the 10,000-square-meter City Walk 2, located behind Fuente Circle, was unveiled in 2003. More than just a hangout for foodies, City Walk 2 takes enjoyment to a new level with an impressive array of fun options.

Among the restaurants and cafés lining City Walk 2 are Shanghai Bistro, Recipes by Café Metro, Ebisu Grill, Superbowl of China, The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf and Starbucks. For shoppers, lifestyle brands such as Shoe Salon, People are People, Girbaud, Mossimo, Bench, Bayo, Braun Buffel, The Body Shop and Time Depot as well as popular sports outlets Adidas, Nike, Mizuno and Speedo are open.

Adding more excitement to City Walk 2 this year are health beverage shop Fruitas, day care center Laro, jewelry shop Planet Silver, fragrance store Oullucci, photography center Child’s Play Photography, Film Relic Gift Shop and Bench FIX salon.

A magnet for entertainment buffs are Q Powerstation video arcade and Paeng's Eastwood Bowl & Billiards Room, along with four state-of-the art cinemas with the country’s first rocker seats and Dolby Digital EX sound systems.

Adding renewed vitality to the alfresco dining scene is an endless stream of exciting events–from concerts to product launches–held at City Walk 1 and 2.
