Icon at the Fort

Xcell Property Ventures may be the proverbial new kid on the block of residential condominiums; but its a kid making a lot of righteous noise. After the formal presentation of the company and shareholders at the Embassy, Fort in March; it was now time to unveil the Xcell Sales office/Model unit. Located on the Ground floor of the PSE Center West Tower in Ortigas, the event proved just how committed Xcell is to create a novel, fun way to present their project.
To be located right beside the perimeter wall of the Manila Golf and Country Club, the ICON RESIDENCES will rise along the prestigious de Jesus Circle, or for those more familiar its the parking lot across UCC Café at the Fort. A veritable stones throw away from the golf course, its been joked that the swimming pool at the Icon is an additional water hazard for Hole No. 8.
With an illustrious roster of shareholders backing the project Ramon Sy of i-Bank, Ricky Razon of ICTSI, Landcos Freddie Xerez-Burgos, the Stock Exchanges Wilson Sy and Rally Martinez as CEO theres a strong confident feel to how this project will materialize. No stone has been left unturned in creating strong, modern, yet comfortable lines for the building. The architectural firm of Recio and Casas are on board, and Anna Sy is handling the interiors.
On the night in question, the model unit drew ooohs and aaahs. The sleek motif made the 61 square meters look like a spacious one bedroom apartment. These exclamations turned into shrieks of unrestrained joy and celebration, as, in Xcell fashion, the Bloomfields and Lana Jalosjos took over the makeshift stage and turned the event into a real party. The Bloomfields are a bunch of teenagers who have formed a band specializing in Beatles and Beach Boys tunes. Lana, familiar for her stints in musical theater, has put together an act rich with Supremes and Motown material. It was young, it was fresh, and yet it saluted tradition and history. In more ways than one, the same could be said about the Icon.
From the Bloomfields to Lana, to the Icon itself, it was a class act. Be on the lookout for announcements confirming future Xcell events. On May 12, there are plans to bring Adjundie, an acoustic trio to give everyone another taste of the ICON lifestyle.
