Bright investor prospects

Companies usually take into consideration a number of factors when setting up shop for the first time. Theres proximity to clients, availability of adequate water and electricity, communication lines and modern infrastructure. Of all these, an efficient road network plays a key role as it affects the transfer of goods and services from one place to the other.
With the opening of ABI-Greenfield Interchange and a 10-km circumferential road within Greenfield City, businesses operating in the area now have an alternate route going to Laguna from the NAIA and Port Area, thereby ensuring faster delivery of goods, people, and industrial activities.
A major infrastructure project of Greenfield Development Corp. (GDC) and Asia Brewery, Inc. (ABI), in cooperation with the Philippine National Construction Corp. (PNCC) and the Toll Regulatory Board, this 260-million interchange is expected to offer lasting solution to the burgeoning traffic problem in the vicinity.
Flourishing site for investment
As more and more businesses and their employees are now expected to flock to Sta. Rosa because of this new development, the site may very well be seen as the newest business, commercial and residential hub South of Manila.
GDC is one among many developers in the area that believes in the towns potential as a promising investment site. One of its projects, Greenfield City, is a master-planned community thats envisioned to transform Sta. Rosa into a bustling, cosmopolitan district.
According to Duane Santos, vice-president of GDC, "More than accessibility, the new interchange also opens up our market to nearby towns and municipalities."
Its retail/commercial component, Paseo de Santa Rosa, is now also undergoing a facelift with the opening of new branded factory outlets for value-added shopping. Twelve new bars and restaurants will also be put up to create bigger excitement among residents looking for better quality dining and entertainment.
Says Santos, "We had excellent response for our existing factory outlets and we want to maintain that by offering new brands at heavily discounted prices throughout the whole year."
Santos says that a vastly improved Paseo de Santa Rosa, which provides a relaxing outdoor lifestyle, will be a great take off point for an intended shopping mall to be put up in the area. To be called Laguna Central, this new development will be made to cater to a different market.
While Paseo de Santa Rosa shall continue carrying its distinct charm that many patrons have already come to love, those who want to shop in a typical mall environment may opt for Laguna Central.
Santa Rosa Business Park (SRBP), Greenfield Citys premier business district, will also be just as busy with the completion of Southern Luzon Medical Hospital. By the 3rd quarter this year, the first residential project in Greenfield City called "The Garland" will also be launched.
Finally, GDC is now also closing in on several dealers and retailers of automotive spare parts and accessories for its Greenfield Automall. Santos says, "We have a standing invitation to select industry players and the response thus far has been very promising."
This early, a number of businesses have already started taking notice of all these developments. With the ABI-Greenfield Interchange, a major access infrastructure, already in place, those in the automobile, shopping, sports, market and other major industries will find themselves lucky to be at the receiving end of all the wonderful benefits that all these developments in Greenfield City brings.
