New window cleaning system

City Service Corporation, the countrys largest and most technically advanced janitorial maintenance companies has launched the revolutionary Skywalker High Rise Window Cleaning System.
Unlike the traditional use of the gondola, the Skywalker System utilizes the controlled rope descent system in cleaning windows.
A Skywalker is securely strapped to a seat and then utilizing his controlled rope descent system, rappels down a building as he cleans each window, panel by panel.
The simplicity of the system greatly reduces rigging time. As compared to the use of the gondola, the job can be completed in 70 percent less time resulting to 25 percent lower contract cost.
Each Skywalker is trained and certified on the Skywalker System. They are physically fit, responsible and above all, safety conscious. They understand and respect the rules for safety climbing and rappelling.
The Skywalker System has been manufactured and is adapted for window cleaning. The various descent components are compatible and have a minimum tensile strength of 5,000 pounds.
Safety is the primary concern of City Service Corp. The company implements strict precautionary guidelines like the inspection of all equipment prior to use; proper rigging including sound anchorage and tiebacks with emphasis on providing tiebacks, cornice hooks or similar non-permanent anchorage system; use of a separate fall arrest system including bodybelt, sit harness, full body harness, rope grab and lifeline. Provisions for rescue are also present.
City Service Corp. was established in 1950 and is the first ISO 9001:2000 (E) certified cleaning and janitorial maintenance contractor in the country. Aside from its window cleaning systems, it also offers janitorial, gardening and grounds and specialty carpet and upholstery shampooing maintenance services.
