Joya: New lifestyle at Rockwell Center

Rockwell Land Corp. unveils its latest residential project: Joya at Rockwell, catering to young single professionals or couples with growing families. A suburban dream set in a resort-like atmosphere, Joya’s lofts and towers innovates standards in city living.

Renowned architects and interior designers Alice Erfe, Guillermo "Butch" Valdez and Arlen de Guzman brandish their skills by creating one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and one-bedroom loft model units respectively. These three creations are sublime statements to Joya’s novel concept for living spaces.

The Illusion Of A Large Space

Located on the ground level of Power Plant Mall, Joya’s one-bedroom model unit is the creation of Erfe and Associates’ principal architect Alice Erfe.

Challenged by its modest size, Erfe made maximum use of the 69 sqm. one-bedroom space. In place of the usual dividers, Erfe delineates areas by utilizing shelves, providing useful, space-saving built-ins and niches to double the wall space.

Making use of high quality Philippine products, Erfe is a staunch believer that our very own products are the way to go.

"What we have (in the Philippines) is beautiful and is equal, if not better than what designers abroad can do," says Erfe.

Traditional Yet Contemporary

The 115-sqm two-bedroom unit found inside Rockwell’s Information Center is the brainchild of Guillermo "Butch" Valdez.

Valdez combines contemporary and traditional designs, using mix-and-match pieces, ranging from a rather lamp suspended over the dinner table to an ultramodern object d’art table centerpiece.

The result is eclectic yet effective. By making use of colors complementing each other, the varied pieces in the living space are married to form an ironic yet awe-inspiring look of unity and contrast

"The classic lines and colors I used brought out the contemporary yet eclectic effect I was after and gave the room a cool, soothing and intimate feel," says Valdez.
