Santarosa Estates: New choice of retailers, professionals
May 15, 2004 | 12:00am
Vast opportunities to tap the burgeoning market of one of the fastest growing communities in Mega Manila are now being made available to entrepreneurs, professionals and service providers by Santarosa Estates 2.
The 14-hectare development by Laguna Properties Holdings Inc. recently opened a commercial strip adjoining its upscale residential area at the heart of the rapidly expanding city of Sta. Rosa, Laguna. Also close by are the more than 3,000 homes of Santarosa Estates 1, Santarosa and San Jose Villages, and the Laguna Technopark, Inc., one of the most progressive manufacturing sites in the country for multinational corporations. A sign of the citys robust potentials, major educational institutions like De La Salle, St. Scholasticas Westgrove, Don Bosco, Ateneo Business School have already established campuses in the city. Other schools like Xavier and Ateneo are expected to follow.
With average lot sizes of 1,500 sqm., the commercial lots at Santarosa Estate 2 are excellent locations for restaurants, bakeries, retail establishments, offices for doctors, lawyers and other professionals, as well as gasoline stations and construction stores.
LPHI vice-president Steve Dy points out that the commercial lots are along the Tagaytay-Sta. Rosa Road which gives motorists access to popular Cavite and Batangas destinations from the South Luzon Expressway. "Its excellent location affords SRE commercial lot owners high visibility as well as the steady market base of Santarosa Estates residents, Sta. Rosa manufacturers, homeowners of neighboring villages and business establishments operating in the area."
Sta. Rosa is the nucleus of a new growth area of about 4,000 has. being developed by LPHI and parent company Ayala Land. It is envisioned as a self-contained metropolis with commercial, residential, industrial, office and entertainment areas offering employment, educational, business and other opportunities.
On the other hand, Cavite and Batangas residents as well as Metro Manilans and tourists visiting resort destinations in those provinces will comprise another steady stream of customers for SRE commercial lot owners.
According to Dy, interest in SRE commercial lots is pretty strong given all these benefits. For its part, LPHI has designed the strip so it will be shopper-friendly and will remain a viable location even over the long term when traffic volumes build up in the area.
