Time Depots strong, clean lines of modern design appeal both to mature watch connoisseurs and a new trendsetting generation thats interested in quality.
The newly opened branch in Eastwood, Libis, Quezon City features a clear glass storefront that offers a full view of the vast assortment of watches. Once inside, customers are greeted by a spacious and clutter-free ambiance characterized by a singular design style. There are no conventional counter displays. The design attraction comes in the form of wall-mounted and lighted square display boxes that elegantly showcase the most current timepieces ranging sporty "wonder gadgets" to fashionable signature wristwear and accessories. The watch collections include Alfex, Casio, Fila, Nautica, Suunto, and cK. To go along with Time Depots new look, there are new watches now available at the store. Watch lovers on the prowl for the plus factor in timepieces will be delighted to find more prestigious collections like the fashion brand NafNaf and the funny and sporty Club Med line.
For avid sports enthusiasts, a must-see are the new selections from the Finnish brand Suunto which is noted for its sports-specific features, like the G9, a high-tech golfing companion equipped with a chronometer with time sync from the GPS satellites, barometer, altimeter, compass and other functional features in one compact configuration.
From all indications, Time Depot is not your traditional timepiece store. It evolved from the fascination for watches of second-generation entrepreneur Richmond Lim. Through the years, Lim has spent much time touching base with prestigious ISO-certified watch manufacturers. Many prominent watch brands have thus found their way in the Philippine marketplace through Time Depot as authorized distributor.
"Its actually a growing business that depends on the new and diverse crop of timepieces that continually keeps turning over stock," Lim said.
To better serve and meet the needs of customers and share the joys of entrepreneurship like watch retailing, Time Depot has recently embarked on an aggressive expansion by setting up franchise stores in newly urbanized cities in the country. From only two outlets in 2001, it now operates 15. Time Depot now has approved franchises at Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall in Cainta; at the Ayala-owned malls in Laguna; Alabang; and Dasmariñas, Cavite.
