The emergence of Greenfields EDSA Central Mall in Mandaluyong as the new shopping center of Metro Manilas Shopping Capital has assembled together the countrys foremost manufacturers and retailers to serve the needs of the growing clientele.
Everyday, more than 200,000 people pass through the eight-hectare EDSA Central Complex where the mall is located to get their rides and do last minute shopping.
"Our mall, which is slated to open by yearend, offers convenience and quality through our improved structure and facilities and accessibility via the direct link to the Shaw Boulevard MRT Station Mall and public transportation terminals around the complex," said Duane Santos, vice president of Greenfield Development Corp. (GDC), the property development firm that owns and manages the complex.
New tenants such as Nike, the leading sports brand in the country today; Otto Shoes, one of the most popular Filipino-made brands; Lee USA, a popular apparel brand; Work Station, a convenience and one-stop hardware store; Dickies, the latest trend in youth fashion, plus Blues Brothers, Wrangler, Leaveland, in addition to fastfood stores like Jollibee, KFC, Chowking and Pizza Hut and many more market leaders will comprise the New EDSA Central Mall.
Manolo P. Samson, shoe magnate from Marikina and top-honcho of the famed Otto brand and James C. Lim, managing director of the Limson Marketing, Inc. that owns and operates the mall-based Work Station said: "Of the current mall developments in Mandaluyong we see a great advantage in EDSA Central Mall owing to its location, huge customer base and a good name and integrity of Greenfield."
Santos noted that their patrons will enjoy the numerous mall amenities and shopping benefits. "We made it a point to put more value on every amount of money and time our clientele would spend in our center. They will be able to relax and enjoy our mall while traveling to and from their intended destination, dining at the wide array of affordable establishments or simply shopping at our reasonably priced retail outlets," he emphasized.
The GDC executive said the choices of products and services that will be available inside the redeveloped EDSA Central reflects the changing lifestyles and needs of Filipinos. Being at the forefront of masterplanning the community, GDC started its 24-hectare property in Mandaluyong City with the construction of the EDSA Central Complex.
