SM City Lucena opens on October 3

SM City Lucena, the 15th SM supermall, will be open to the public on Friday, Oct. 3, 2003.
Strategically located on a 79,503-square meter property at the intersection of the Pagbilao National Road and Dalahican Road, the access to the Dalahican Fish Port and Shipping Terminal, SM City Lucena will serve customers in the Southern Tagalog region.
Only 1.8 kilometers northeast of the city proper, the SM site is a 10-minute ride from the city center, 15 minutes from the Dalahican Fish Port, and 12 minutes from the Daang Maharlika Highway by-pass.
The three-level supermall is 72,056 square meters in floor area, and will bring SMs shopping, leisure, and entertainment excitement to the Southern Tagalog region. It has over 150 tenants, and will merge SM anchors, local and international chains, as well as homegrown Quezon shops and restaurants.
SM City Lucena was designed by Design International, a foreign design consultant, and as G & W Architects for its architecture, Monolith Construction and Development Corp as General Contractors, and DA Abcede Associates as Project Manager.
Leading the shopping excitement is the SM Department Store, the trendsetter and innovator that has become part of the lives of many Filipinos; and the SM Supermarket, which combines exciting mechandising concepts with the latest supermarketing technology. The supermall will have SM mainstays like the SM Appliance Center, Ace Hardware, Watsons, Our Home, Surplus Shop, and Toy Kingdom, as well as fashion boutiques, jewelry and home stores, novelty shops, and service outlets. It will have a computer and telecom stores for the cyber generation.
Eating out options include good food . . . fast at the SM Food Court, as well as an exciting mix of international food chains like Pizza Hut and Kenny Rogers, local food chains like Jollibee and Red Ribbon, as well as homegrown food outlets like Cherry Blossom and Koffee Klatch, and Buddys Restaurant, which will be opening later.
The mall will also have four state of the art cinemas, and amusement centers. A bowling center will be opening in the coming months. Lucena residents will also be happy to know that it has homegrown outlets like Gems and Jewels, Unigold Jewelry, Donna Kids, as well as Viewers Telecom and Guzman Studio, Clinica Lucena and Redor and Dental Clinic.
