MC Home Depot holds crafts workshops

Its an "art inspiration" to the maximum this month of July.
Art lovers in Metro Manila are in for a treat with a series of workshops, sponsored by MC Home Depot, distributor of home improvement needs and fancies, to be held at the MC Home Depot branch office at the Fort Bonifacio Global City in Taguig starting last July 3.
To be facilitated by Victor Bella, a professional artist who graduated from the Maastricht Academy of Visual Arts in Holland, the workshops will feature activities like glass painting, candle making, decorative mold making, soap making, acrylic painting, drawing and painting, flower sculpture, and a lot more.
Last July 3, the decorative painting in glass, metal and ceramics session taught participants how to transform inexpensive materials into art pieces that sparkle in colors and elegance. Projects included gemstone perfume bottles, floating candle containers, canisters, mugs and vases.
On July 4, the decorative soap making session featured the production of clear soap with artistic designs. The session included information on formulation, coloring, scenting, and inclusion of herbal extracts.
Following on July 5 to 6 will be the decorative herbal and aromatherapy class which will cover the production of figurine soap cultures and the creation of molds.
Those interested in silicon rubber mold-making can attend a one-day learning experience on July 11. This session is intended to create and duplicate artistically-designed figurines for personal use or for mass production.
To be held on July 12 to 13, the lecture on artistic aromatherapy candle making with decorative making features the latest must-learn techniques and principles in the craft. It will focus on the production of candles in different shapes figurine, container, layered, beeswax, gel candles and floating candles with special features such as aromatherapy, dripless, hand-painted, and insect repellant versions.
