Finding the ideal home and good neighbors at Ferndale

-
Nothing is more ideal to a family than having a beautiful home amidst a friendly neighborhood. That is what homeowner Michael Carlos Tan and his wife Lorelei discovered when they settled in Ferndale Homes two years ago. The peaceful and charming residential community right at the heart of Quezon City afforded them not just a fine home but also, good neighbors that have become more like family.

The need for a secure home environment that is within their budget led the couple to Ferndale Homes. Mike admitted he always fancied living in an Ayala-developed subdivision because it has been known to providing quality residential community. A business franchise owner and a licensed real estate broker on the side, Mike is not one to miss out on choice properties in the market or newly opened subdivisions. He actually had his sights on Ayala Westgrove Heights in Laguna but only as an investment. When he learned about Ferndale Homes, he readily checked it as a possible residence, "the concept was great and it offers good terms so we decided to live here."

The first time Mike and Lorelei saw Ferndale’s exclusive community, they had the same reaction, "Maganda." The American-inspired concept of "no fences" was a major draw to the couple. Mike fondly relates favorable comments from friends about their new home, They all said, "maganda. Parang wala ka dito sa Pilipinas!" Lorelei adds, "It is so unlike the townhouse type that is so close. It is a single-detached home with enough private space at the same time, easy access to your next-door neighbor."

Neighborliness is probably Ferndale’s most endearing quality. Here, one would think cluster neighbors are related because they get together more often than close relatives do. Somehow Ferndale’s "no-fences" setting has done wonders to homeowner relations. Nowadays, a special occasions of one family is a must attend for the whole neighborhood. It is also a delightful opportunity for them to bond when Ferndale hosts activities like the recent Summer Cookout. Lorelei also tells of a choir composed of the wives to sing during the masses held within the subdivision.

Typical homeowners may find it uncomfortable to having the front lawn and backyard open to almost anyone within the vicinity but Mike and Lorelei never felt more secure in their property.
