The 1.6-hectare joint project with Bank of the Philippine Islands has captured market interest primarily because it offers residents of the 20-lot enclave amenities almost for their own exclusive use. Focal point of the intimate community is a park that offers a variety of experiences.
A lush strip of green, the Tamarind Cove park incorporates formal arrangements, a fragrance garden, tropical arrangements in addition to a playground and a common activity center. According to Ruperto Rodriguez, ALI assistant vice-president and architectural and environmental planner, the series of scenes traversed by a pathway was conceptualized to sustain the interest of the viewer. He adds that the pathway, which incorporates the roadway at one point, also doubles as a jogging path that is 400 meters in length and which encircles the area.
For the children and more active residents, an open lawn is available for badminton and ball games while a gazebo allows for relaxation.
To foster interaction among neighbors, the lots in the development are laid out in a cul-de-sac, says Rodriguez. Meanwhile, circulation in the area is not hampered by the parked vehicles of visitors. Instead, these will be directed to a motor court, a mini parking lot for 10 vehicles camouflaged by greenery.
ALI senior vice-president Tristan dela Rosa relates that buyers appreciate the fact that they have their own walking track, a park that practically serves as an extension of their own properties, and other amenities. "The strong performance of Tamarid Cove indicates that they truly appreciate all these additions," he says.
An added bonus is that Tamarind Cove has limited access. As such it offers privacy and an added measure of security for owners of the lots which range from 520 up to 620 sqm.
Tamarind Cove residents will also have access to the other parks of Ayala Alabang as well as the two community tennis courts, six basketball courts and a swimming pool located in other phases of the village.
"Lot owners will enjoy the new features of Tamarind Cove as well as its location in an established community," notes dela Rosa. Primed by developments like the Alabang Town Center and Madrigal Business Park, growth in this portion of Southern Metro Manila has been robust. Property values in Alabang have been sustained through the years and have been perceived as a superior investment vehicles.
