IT training center at Asiatown Park

In keeping with its vision of not only attracting investment, but contributing to the improvement of the IT industry as well, Cebu Property Ventures & Development Corporation (CPVDC) welcomes the Cebu Educational Development Foundation for Information Technology (Cedf-it) to Asiatown IT Park.
CPVDC signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) for Cedf-IT to house its professional Certification, Training and Review Center at the IT Park.
As one of the founding members of Cedf-IT, CPVDC shares the vision of transforming Cebu into a major IT hub in the country through a proactive intervention in the IT human resource sector. The Professional Certification, Training and Review Center shall occupy a strategic 90-square meter area at Asiatown IT Park.
The Professional Certification, Training and Review Center is one of Cedf-ITs flagship projects for 2003. Together with academic institutions and other entities involved in the IT industry, the center aims to undertake the establishment of occupational and proficiency standards for IT professionals.
During its initial phase of development, the Center collaborates with the Technical Skills and Development Authority (TESDA VII) in the setting up of IT Occupational Skills Standards for C/C++, JAVA, Visual Basic Software Programmers, CAD Operators and Designers, and Network engineers.
