Cantada holds golf clinic at Ayala Estates

Golfers of all ages, levels and handicaps are invited to a golf clinic on Sunday, May 18 at the newly opened Phase 2 of Ayala Greenfield Estates in Calamba, Laguna. Golf professional, Gerard Cantada of the Joe Cantada Golf Learning Center, will diagnose your errant swings and help improve your game through a special digital technology used by professionals abroad. Visitors can build up their golfing form and try out the facilities at Ayala Greenfield Estates while enjoying the cool mountain breeze and the breathtaking lakeview sights.
The golf clinic will start at 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Cantada will bring to the Ayala Greenfield Estates Golf Clinic a different brand of golf instruction more sophisticated, more hi-tech, and most helpful to those who are serious about bettering their skills. "Our method is good for beginners because they will concentrate more on their form instead of hitting balls right away in the driving range or focusing on how far they hit the ball," he explains. His team will bring smart gadgets that most golfers have not seen before: "We are using the B1 Digital Golfing System; its what they use in the Professional Golfers Association professional tour. We take your video, we download it into the computer which has a lot of tools and does frame-by-frame analysis. We can magnify; we can even split you from right-handed to left-handed. And then were going to compare your swing to your favorite pros, say Tiger Woods. We will examine your form frame-by-frame so we can advise you on how you can improve your game."
As a junior golfer, Gerard Cantada made it to the National Golf Team and won acclaim for the country. In 1987, he bagged the Asian Junior title for 11 and under. Four years later, he walked away with the Championship trophy in Topolino, Italy. At 20, Cantada started his own golf school, Gerard Cantadas Golf Academy, and has since been teaching professional players, golfers as young as five years, and senior citizens who have kept their love of the game.
The golf clinic is an event at the Ayala Greenfield Estates, a joint undertaking by two of the countrys leading property developers Ayala Land Inc. and Greenfield Development Corp. The centerpiece of the development will eventually be an all-weather championship golf course designed by world-renowned architect Robert Trent Jones II. So much value goes into every lot purchase at Ayala Greenfield Estates because this is the first time that a golf share will be appurtenant to a lot, unlike its competitors which require buying a separate golf share.
