Lakewood City’s first nine holes to be ready this year

-
Sta. Lucia Realty & Development Inc. VP for Engineering Winnie Gob has disclosed that it will develop nine holes of the 18-hole course at the Lakewood City for this year. Lakewood City, the golf course residential community in Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija, is jointly undertaken by Sta. Lucia Realty and landowners Landco Pacific Corporation and Nueva Ecija Land Co., Inc.

The developer is now working on the back nine of the course and is 100 percent shaped. Three holes – 13, 14, 15 – are already grassed. The golf architectural firm Nelson & Haworth incorporated the development of the lake system situated at the 18th hole which forms an interesting aspect of the course which Gob refers to the "18th hole island green." N & H is well-known for designing award-winning unique, challenging and enjoyable golf courses that sit lightly on the land and often incorporate elements of local cultural significance.

Lakewood City will have a Golf Country Club, designed by Architect W.V Coscolluela, which features separate shower and locker areas for male and female golfers; fine dining restaurant; kitchen; pro-shop; children’s playground; golfer’s lounge and caddie and bag drop off area.

The golf course is part of the 155-hectare Spanish-inspired high-end residential community in Nueva Ecija that features four villages with parks and commercial strips.

Sta. Lucia Realty has the expertise and resources to develop some of the country’s world-class golf resorts and country clubs that draw attention among the golf patrons here and abroad. Thus, it helps boost local tourism.
