RP furniture expo now in Pampanga

The Chamber of Furniture Industries in the Philippines proudly announces the new venue for the Philippine International Furniture Show 2003 (PIFS 2003) – Clark Special Economic Zone in Pampanga scheduled Feb. 28 to March 3, 2003.

Within the extensive 60-hectare Expo Pilipino, the PIFS 2003 will present global trends in home fashions. About 200 exhibitors will showcase export standard furniture and home accessories manufactured mostly in Pampanga. Top exporters from Manila and other regions who are known in the global market will show their best furniture pieces.

The move to hold the Philippine International Furniture Show to the Expo Pilipino site provided participants exhibition space three times the size of previous venues. Being the biggest furniture show in the country, PIFS is committed to grow the show every year and feature more new products.

Pampanga has been the heart and soul of the Philippine furniture industry and is currently home to over 40 internationally recognized furniture exporters.

Eduardo Zuluaga, Overall Chairman of the Philippine Int’l Furniture Show, lauds the benefits of having the 2003 boutique show in Clark Field.

Free shuttle services connecting airport, hotels and fair grounds provide hassle-free short-distance transport. This emerging tourist destination also offers a different dimension in entertainment, recreation and even the celebrated cuisine of Pampanga. "Our local and foreign guests will find a less stressful environment within which to conduct business. We are all anticipating a successful turn-out. We’re inviting Metro Manilans and residents of surrounding provinces to come and be updated with the latest trends in furniture, home accessories and materials and products," says Zuluaga.

A special feature of this year’s furniture show is the presentation of 20 Lifestyle Villa showrooms. Using the two-bedroom villas of Holiday Inn (located five minutes to Expo Pilipino) top professional interior designers created different design executions ranging from classic, eclectic, contemporary, ethnic and avant garde.

The organizer of PIFS 2003 was confident that the refreshing new dimensions added to this years’ exciting program will create a positive ripple of confidence in the industry.
