Lecture series on investment in real estate

To provide helpful guidelines to the benefits of beginning and prospective real estate investors, dealers, developers and professionals, a seminar on "Investing in Real Estate" will be conducted by Urban Institute of Real Estate on Jan. 22, from 1:30 to 6 p.m. at the Maxs Restaurant, Level 4, Robinsons Metro East, Marcos Highway, Dela Paz, Pasig City which is very near Quezon City and Marikina.
The four-hour lecture will cover the different opportunities and techniques in real estate investments which includes investing in vacant land why and why dont buy and sell or lease; buy, build and sell/lease; rehabilitation of distressed and damaged properties; master leasing; leasing with option to buy; converting apartments; and developing small vacant lands.
Also included is a general introduction to all the basic knowledge that is essential to a profitable and successful real estate investment such as real estate economics, legal and contract documents, financing and analyzing investments, property appraisal, property development, development rules and regulations, property management, real estate taxation, property valuation or appraisal and others.
This seminar will immediately be followed by a series of detailed lectures at the same time and venue as follows: Jan. 23 Real Estate Finance and Investment Analysis; Jan. 24 "Property Management" and "Real Estate Appraisal"; Jan. 27 HLURB Rules & Property Development; Jan. 28 Joint Ventures and Syndications; and on Jan. 29 "Real Estate Taxation" and "Contract Documentation and Registration."
