The completion of the Light Rail Transit 1 Extension, which will add 12 kilometers to the present Monumento-to-Baclaran line by covering the towns of Bacoor and later Imus and Dasmariñas in Cavite, will benefit thousands of commuters and serve as a catalyst in the provinces bid to become a major commercial and industrial hub in South Luzon, according to affordable housing developer Empire East Properties, Inc. (EEPI).
EEPI president Zenaida Marquez said residents of Cavite can expect "a truly convenient and fast mode of commuting to and from Metro Manila" once the LRT 1 Extension is in place.
"Travel time will take no more than 30 minutes, and this plus the investments that an efficient mass transit system will generate will spur the development of Cavite and make it an alternative commercial-industrial zone to Metro Manila," Marquez said.
Marquez noted that for homebuyers and investors, this means a unique window of opportunity to cash in on the expected economic boom and surge in land prices in the province.
For those looking for an attractive investment option in Cavite, EEPI is offering residential and commercial packages in its flagship Governors Hills township project in General Trias near the towns of Bacoor and Imus.
Governors Hills, an 89-hectare integrated residential and commercial development, has started turning over completed units in its Phases 1 to 3 while Phases 4 to 6 are under construction. Launched recently were phases 7 and 8 of Governors Hills that feature efficiently designed triplex, duplex and single detached homes.
Among its superior amenities are mini-parks, playgrounds, jogging paths, tennis and basketball courts, a swimming pool, a village clubhouse and a high-standard science high school, which will start construction soon.
In addition to house and lot offerings, EEPI is building a 16-hectare commercial complex as a one-stop, day-to-night shopping and leisure destination. The commercial center will cater to the estimated 30,000 residents of Governors Hills as well as the employees of the nearby industrial parks and the residents of neighboring Cavite towns.
