Federal Hardware sets new standards
February 2, 2002 | 12:00am
Before Federal Hardware Builders Center came along, people who needed something from a hardware had two choices the poorly-lighted and non-air conditioned "old school" hardware where orders are taken by a surly sales clerk, you pay for your purchases and then leave or the pseudo hardware in the mall, which is actually just a mini-mart with a limited range of products and services.
Federal Hardware Builders Center does not fit into either category. It is a fresh new concept in retailing that originated from the United States and is setting new standards in the Philippine market.
Federal Hardware responds to the increased interest in home improvement, renovation and interior detailing activities resulting from the 1990s construction boom. The target market is wide from young couples who want their homes enhanced by the most modern building materials available today to the person with the proverbial "green thumb." The hardware has positioned itself as a one-stop, budget-friendly shop for builders with a spacious store display and aisles after aisles of merchandise.
Located along Chino Roces Ave. (formerly Pasong Tamo), Makati City, Federal Hardware debunks the myth that a hardware has to look dull and boring. Customers are welcomed with prominent signage mounted on an archway thats an impressive combination of steel and hardiflex in a deep blue color.
The stores professional sales team serves customers Monday to Sundays from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. For more information, call 893-1654.
