Big tent to rise along Roxas Blvd

Federal Homes, Inc. has started the construction of a huge 1,440-square-meter tent that will be named "Le Pavillon," which will be used to hold various business and social events.

Le Pavillon, which will be made of galvanized steel and tensioned membrane tarpaulin imported from France, will have a floor-to-ceiling height of 13.4 meters. The structure will include a 234.16-square-meter reception lobby with two cocktail bars, spacious dressing rooms, a large kitchen, and a cement floor finish. It will be equipped with 17 air-conditioning units and a generator. The enclosed area will have a capacity of up to 1,400 people while the surrounding area will provide ample parking spaces.

Le Pavillon will located in Metropolitan Park, Roxas Boulevard corner EDSA Extension in Pasay City. Metropolitan Park is a 40-hectare property that is being developed by the Metrobank Group as part of the Boulevard 2000 project of the government. Toyota Manila Bay and the Bay Gardens twin towers (Boardwalk Bay Tower and Crystal Bay Tower) currently reside in the Park. Another residential condominium tower, Anchor Bay Tower, and the Manila Doctos’ Hospital will soon rise in the Metropolitan Park.

One of the first major events slated to happen at the Le Pavillon is the Metrobank Credit Cards Christmas Shopping City, the biggest shopping bazaar to be set up by a credit card company, on Nov. 16, 17 and 18.

With the participation of about 100 merchants, the bazaar offers a wide range of products, including popular brand names of quality home, gift, and personal items.

The bazaar will give Metrobank credit cardholders the convenience of one-stop pre-Christmas shopping as it will also be selling electric appliances, computers and furniture.

Purchases in the Christmas bazaar may be charged to either Metrobank Unicard, Metrobank Visa, Metrobank Mastercard or Metrobank Value Mastercard with the option to pay through a low-rate installment plan. Pre-paid shopping cards will be sold in the bazaar venue for non-cardholders.
