Peugeot-backed Valle Verde Women’s Tennis Team takes podium finish in Philippine Ladies Tennis League

MANILA, Philippines – The Peugeot-sponsored Valle Verde Women’s Tennis Team A made it all the way to the semifinals and eventually bagged 3rd place in the recently concluded Philippine Ladies Tennis League (PLTL), which is quite a significant milestone, this being the French car maker’s first foray into local sports marketing. The PLTL is an annual competition organized by the Manila Polo Club in which teams from different clubs compete.

Though known worldwide for its association with its endorser and ATP world number one Novak Djokovic, prior to the Philippine Ladies Open, Peugeot was rarely active in the local sports scene. However, its current association with the Valle Verde Women’s Tennis Team – and the team’s ensuing success – has opened the doors for many more Filipinos to learn about the French car maker’s many offerings.
