Castrol holds Partner for Life contest

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – Castrol Philippines culminated its 6-month-long program “Partner for Life” with a finals night at Microtel in Pasay City last September 22. The “Partner for Life” program is both a knowledge building and a skills contest among motorcycle mechanics. More than 1,000 mechanics participated in the program. This was trimmed down to 30 mechanics for the semifinals representing different cities and provinces. They all won a one-night stay at the hotel. Another set of knowledge and skills competition during the day cut the number of mechanics to six finalists. They each won a 32-inch LED television.  38-year old Christopher Rivas from Bulacan was crowned “King Mechanic.” He went home with a Castrol-themed scooter and helmet.
