Toyota JP chairman visits Toyota PH school

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – Toyota Motor Corporation (Japan) chairman Takeshi Uchiyamada visited the Toyota Motor Philippines School of Technology (TMP Tech) and toured the school’s world-class facilities during his recent trip to the Philippines. Prior to his visit to TMP Tech, Uchiyamada attended a ceremony accepting TMP chairman Dr. George S.K. Ty’s P10 million donation to TMP Tech to be allocated to scholarships for deserving students. The ceremony is a testament to the firm and growing partnership between Toyota Japan and Toyota Philippines, especially as both chairmen support TMP Tech’s mission to make the Philippines a global human resource development hub. The donation is being coursed through the GT-Metro Foundation (GTMF), the family foundation of Dr. Ty which invests in strategic programs that help improve the lives of the less privileged in Philippine society.  In line with GTMF’s goal, the school shares the same advocacy as it aims to become the school of choice for technical education and be the best source of talent for the Toyota Global Network to provide a better future for more Filipinos.  Photo shows (front, from left) TMP president Michinobu Sugata and TMC chairman Takeshi Uchiyamada touring the school’s facilities, guided by TMP Tech technical consultant Vitaliano Mamawal.
