Toyota commitment to quality improvement

MANILA, Philippines - Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMP) recently held its 21st Quality Control (QC) Circle Championship, a competition that showcases the best quality control improvement ideas and practices. Eight Quality Control groups from TMP’s Manufacturing Division presented their concepts and four of them won Gold awards and opportunities to compete and represent TMP in various local and international competitions. Team “Engine Hotrod”from Assembly Section emerged triumphant and will represent TMP in the Toyota Global Convention in Japan this coming October. Team “Final Doctor” from the Welding Section will be competing in the Toyota Asia Pacific Quality Circle Forum to be held in the Philippines this coming August. Meanwhile, teams “KT 264” from Painting 1 Section and “D’ Eagle Eye” from Quality Inspection Section will compete separately in a QC convention to be held locally. Toyota, the country’s largest automaker, continues to live up to its commitment to improve quality by constantly raising awareness among its team members company-wide.
