Motul NISMO announces motorsports plan for 2014

MANILA, Philippines - Together with NISMO, Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. recently shared its 2014 motorsports activities, which include entry in the Le Mans 24 Hours with the Nissan ZEOD RC, global support with NISSAN GT-R NISMO GT3 for customer racing, expansion of the NISMO Athlete program, and participation in the GT500 class of the new 2014 Super GT series with the Nissan GT-R NISMO GT500.

Motul is a strong technical partner of NISMO, especially in their Super GT participation. Since the technical regulations for 2014 (excluding engines) have become aligned with those of the DTM (German Touring Car), NISMO will take part in the series with a vehicle featuring a newly developed chassis and engine. To ensure the lubricants meet their stringent standards, Motul has been working closely with NISMO through the development and testing phase.

There has also been a change in the driver pairing, which will see Tsugio Matsuda pair up with Ronnie Quintarelli in the #23 NISMO car. A new livery was unveiled as well, and still bears the signature red colors, albeit now with a touch of silver.
