Autostrada Motore Inc. launches new Maserati Quattroporte

Autostrada Motore Inc., the official Philippine distributor of Maserati, unveiled the new Maserati Quattroporte—the fastest four-door Maserati built to date.

MANILA, Philippines - “The sixth-generation Quattroporte not only sets high technology standards, but also remains faithful to Maserati’s long history in luxury sports sedans,” Gaetano Marino said, regional director of Maserati for South East Asia and the Pacific.

“Maserati, the pioneer of luxury sports sedan, with its new Quattroporte, continues to be the benchmark for high-quality engineering, supercar performance and limousine comfort,” he added.

Despite its new technology, the new Quattroporte remains true to Maserati’s roots — which began in 1963 — with its twin-turbo V8; making it not only the most powerful four-door Maserati ever built, but also the fastest yet most economical as well.

The powerful engine and the large cabin are at the core of the Quattroporte’s luxury and performance. Its trademark long, powerful nose and a concave Trident grill provide a clear link to the outgoing Quattroporte.

The direct-injection engine family will boast an all-new twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V8, designed by Maserati Powertrain and assembled by Ferrari in Maranello. It provides a new performance benchmark, reaching 100km/h in just 4.7 seconds and achieving a 307km/h top speed. When it comes to economy, the V8 Maserati Quattroporte has lowered both its fuel consumption and emissions by 20 percent over the outgoing model.

With an 8-speed automatic transmission and its rear-wheel drive configuration, the new Quattroporte is known as the most secure all-weather performance car in the brand’s history. This new 8-speed transmission is lighter by 4kg compared to the 6-speed version of the previous model.

For enhanced fuel economy, the last two gears of the automatic transmission have been added. Its hydraulic gearbox is assisted by auto-adaptive software, which is now a standard on all Maserati models. There are five operating modes, selected using the buttons by the gear lever: Auto Normal, Auto Sport, Manual Normal, Manual Sport and the new I.C.E. (Increased Control Efficiency).

Traditional handcrafted detailing continues in the Quattroporte’s cabin, which has been enhanced with even more interior space with an option of a four or five-seat layout. Cabin luxury leaps forward technically too, with features like the Maserati Touch Controls screen, adjustable pedals, reversing cameras and the optional 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system, as well as WLAN-based Wi-Fi and compatibility with most modern mobile phone systems.

“This occasion gives us the privilege to introduce the all-new Quattroporte that will soon be part of our motoring landscape,” said Wellington Soong, Chair and President of Autostrada Motore, Inc.

Maserati’s ultra-luxury sports line-up includes the Gran Trurismo coupe and convertible, which are available in several variants and performance levels.
