The wet look: Painting tips for car owners.

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - If you’re having your car painted this summer, consider these:

Don’t let the price affect your decision. Never settle for a P15k to P20k paint job. This is the kind of paint job that will leave your car in a much worse state than it was before being painted. A good paint job from an honest, reputable shop for a bantam car will cost somewhere between P25k to P30k. Some specialty shops might lure you in for a carshow finish. Be prepared to part with your car for eight to 12 months for this is how long these shops will accomplish a job that would  normally take two to  three weeks for an honest reputable shop to finish. And be ready to fork out  P90k to P150k. One might ask, what is a car show finish? Will the car show finish last for a year or at the very least six months? Doubtful. Don’t fall prey to an overpriced car show finish stunt. A properly done paint job should have a car show finish that should last for a very long time.  Ask for a written guaranty. A capable shop would  be confident to guaranty the quality of their workmanship.

The Wet Look gives a two-year warranty certificate on all its repainting works.
